FONDEF+IDEA 2022, SimPlaNeR Project

This is the website of the FONDEF+IDEA id22i10050 project, Simulation and risk assessment platform for the integrated management and optimal planning of critical resources in emergency health networks to face extreme conditions in hospital demand. The short name of the platform is SimPlaneR, which stands for Simulation Platform for Network Resilience.

Architecture of the platform

The SimPlaNeR platform is a software composed of a set of simulation modules to quantitatively evaluate--from a risk and resilience perspective--the behavior of the Chilean emergency health network in the event of earthquakes and the performance of different improvement measures, with the in order to optimize the operation of the network and efficiently plan its operation in different time horizons. This will mitigate the impact and support the operational continuity of emergency care networks after the occurrence of earthquakes.

Due to the complexity of the problem, the platform is composed by a set of computing modules which simulate/calculate different aspects of the seismic risk of the health care network. These modules have been implemented following the scientific results obtained in previous and related research projects and the CIGIDEN FONDAP Center (ANID/FONDAP/1523A0009).
